Iron Man Guy Pearce Joins ‘Iron Man 3’ Cast written by Sean Gerber April 20, 2012 by Sean Gerber Marvel Studios has taken another step forward in boosting the credibility of the cast for Iron Man 3 by adding Guy Pearce, according to a report from Variety. Pearce is set to play Aldrich Killian, a geneticist who helps Tony Stark develop the Extremis nano-technology (from Warren Ellis’ Extremis comic book story arc), though his intentions are not nearly as noble as Stark’s. The addition of Pearce alongside the returning Robert Downey Jr. and the potential inclusion of Ben Kingsley has to have director Shane Black incredibly excited. The level of talent involved suggests this project could be something special, maybe even the best of the series.
