March 24, 2016 ‘Man of Steel’ Review #3 June 14, 2013 Kaare Ohhhhhhhhhhh, epic!!! Michael Lalaian I think we’re ready. ronbeekiii emergency podcast? Stock Still ain’t feelin’ it. Seen it, when 2 better actors played Supes’ dads. Marlon “My Thun” Brando, and the even better Glen Ford. Looks like a retread with a little more 21st century Oprahsizing. I patiently wait to stand corrected. Jared Lidgerwood I can’t wait for this movie! I may be more excited than I was for TDKR. Andy Goddamn. Goddamn goddamn goddamn. Wow. Michael Kidd Now THAT is what I want to see. Lee Thomson Yeah, Superman is my fav character just hope this is as good as it looks. Have to also say Snyder has surprised me with the look of this looks stunning visually has a great artistic feel to it. Looking forward to the analyse in next podcast. Wondering what you guys think of the one shot of Superman “struggling” to lift some debris, as is this a indication of his power level in this film. Also seems Supes now “charges up” before flight. Overall loved it, music had a grand feel to it. Adrian Edmondson Yummp’n Yemm’n D !!! Emergency Podcast ….Activate !!! Joshua Strong Lets hear what Jett has to say about this? Neal Emergency podcast. Serious question: would Pa Kent ever support letting people die just to protect Clark’s secret? That seems way out of character. Patrick Who would win in a fight, Superman or Battleship? Lee Well line is cut off in trailer so he may not be condoning it, or is edited in, who knows but raises the question that Pa Kent is maybe saying it isn’t Clark’s choice who lives and who dies. Lee Sorry previous reply was meant for Neil Brian I am so excited about this movie, finally a Superman movie we can stand behind. Charlie Considering Pa Kent’s “maybe” is how it comes off in the trailer and there isn’t more to it, it doesn’t mean it’s out of character. I see it as a father struggling to find the answers for the situation at hand. A father who is concerned for his son’s safety and in a moment of weakness/fear he suggests that maybe Clark should have been a little more selfish. You can tell it pains him to even suggest such a thing, but again it’s only out of fear and concern for his son. If I had to guess there’s going to be more to that scene and by the end of it Jonathan will be the guiding hand Clark needs him to be. GoingBlink MAN who everyone wants to be , and everyone wants to believe in , but no one wants to see him ! Adam so, this is why people like Superman. I get it now. But… Batman is still better… haha. Michael Lalaian I second an emergency podcast, I want to hear the sounds of John and Chris hugging and crying tears of joy for an hour. Aside from Jonathan Kent’s “maybe” this was the best distillation in 2 minutes and 33 seconds of why we love superheroes. davidSETH EMERGENCY PODCAST!! Just title it Episode 99a or 0 or X so to not mess with your 100th!! or can we just get this as the 100th early as a Christmas present for your listeners? Though the temp music is just reworked Gladiator/Man on Fire score… its Hans Zimmer and it works! Remember how many people said he couldn’t outdo the ’89 elfman batman score?! That the ’89 score would always and forever be the ONLY score for Batman? Good thing he doesn’t try to n goes on on his own tangents! From the directors/producers to the support casting… hell, even to the fx houses, this film has SO much going for it! But I gotta give it up to Henry Cavill… from the time I saw him in Count of Monte Cristo… I told my buddies back then he’d be a perfect Superboy! And now he IS Superman!! I know, I know… to all the Chris Reeves purists out there…just like there was the stubborn hate on Bale vs Keeton before giving Begins a chance… the first Superman film defined the zeitgeist of that time where Reeves fit the role perfectly! As did William’s score fit the tone. There will always be a place in a looota hearts for Superman 1 & 2 (mine especially) where they accomplished what they set out to do… making the world believe a man can fly! By getting rid of some of the ‘camp’ and asking “how would mankind really react now 30+ yrs later,” It looks like Man of Steel is aiming to make the world believe this man can exist!! Or, in other words… HOLY SH*T THIS TRAILERS GONNA ROCK MY FACE OFF IN IMAX!!! Adam C The trailer is great! It is still a little flashy I would like so bits of superman in action instead the fast flashes. I am anxious to see how Cavil looks as Clark Kent. Eric Absolutely fantastic. Not what I had expected/wanted but it was great. I am willing to bet that jonthan Kent’s line about you are going to have to decide what kind of man.. Comes right after says maybe to young Clark. Even my wife who is NOT a Superman fan was excited/intrigued and now actually wants to see this movie where she had absolutely no desire to see it before the 2 trailers. I can not wait for this movie it is going to be an awesome birthday gift. Alta just out of curiosity. Is the final quote that superman is saying about his father, is that Jor-el or Jonathan that he is quoting. I was thinking Jor-el because it is past tense.
