Zack Snyder is NOT Working on a ‘Star Wars’ Film

UPDATE: A spokesperson for Zack Snyder has told The Hollywood Reporter that the director is a huge fan, but not involved in any “Star Wars” films. I’m not sure how SW fans feel about all this, but Superman fans are probably breathing a sigh of relief.

Here’s the earlier report…

Director Zack Snyder, who previously took himself out of the running for “Star Wars- Episode VII,” is reportedly working on another project for Lucasfilm set within the same universe (Source: Vulture). The film is believed to take place after “Return of the Jedi” and is loosely based on Akria Kurosawa’s “Seven Samurai” with Jedi standing in place of ronin. Filming will not take place until cameras are rolling on “Episode VII,” but along with the excitement that comes from a new “Star Wars,” project, fans have to wonder what this means for the “Man of Steel” franchise Snyder is launching later this year.
