This movie looks so freaking epic. This makes even teamup movies like The Avengers seem so small in comparison. I can already see some potentially amazing iconic visuals. If this movie doesn’t change people’s ancient perceptions of who Superman is and what he is about, nothing will. Adrian Edmondson At first I was pumped about Wolvies trailer and then this happens ….. Emergency Podcast Activate !!!!! Ben I don’t know if it’s just me, but that image of one of Zod’s people walking away from the camera with all the explosions or things crumbling beside them is so damn cool. I think it’s the female one. Such a bad ass piece of imagery. Love it. Thommo Visually it looks stunning, and it looks like we are going to get some crazy action set pieces, which look like are going to set the bar pretty high for movies to come. The music also sounds fantastic, I hope this is an actual track from the movie as it sounds menacing. I look forward to your podcast on this. Lastly, the thing I love about the way they are portraying Superman’s powers: They appear ‘raw’ flight is softly gliding, it is powerful and affects the world around him and his beat vision looks the same, no doing surgery with those eyes. nayan That is how you do a trailer! Just awesome in every respect from the visuals to Zod’s announcement/threat to superman spluttering over the ground! I’m getting a Birthright feel/look to this film, but i would imagine that Snyder is pulling from several different iconic Supes books. Cannot wait! Naes Looks good. The measure of success with any movie trailer is: Does the MOS trailer make me more likely or less likely to see the movie? The answer is: DEFINITELY GO SEE. As for the Wolverine trailers: LESS LIKELY Charlie Crazy theory. I think Doomsday might be in this movie. We’ve seen a big, tall dude next to Zod and his army in that shot on Krypton and I think he could turn out to be Doomsday. Maybe he was genetically altered to be really big, but it’s not perfect and as time goes on he becomes more monstrous. If you look at this trailer, I don’t think the guy in that space jockey looking helmet is Zod. I think it’s the tall guy and there’s a screen cap where he just looks like a big, hulking beast and also looks like he’s accessorizing with some skulls on his side . Could still just be a really big Kryptonan, but I don’t know… http://www.supermanhomepage.com/images/man-of-steel-movie8/130521-Trailer5-27.html Also, on the show Smallville, Zod and Faora specifically were responsible for Doomsday’s creation. They could maybe go that route with this film where in this first one he’s not quite the Doomsday we know and isn’t quite as big and strong and is killed easily enough, but as we all know whatever kills Doomsday only makes him stronger the next time around and he could show up again in a sequel or Justice League film. T.J. “You are going to lose. For everyone you save, we will kill a million more.” Yeah, I think they get the Superman struggle. Also, if that is going to be problem Superman runs into – that he can’t be everywhere all at once – wouldn’t having a team, or, I dunno, a LEAGUE help out with that? Just sayin’… Stock The strength of the villain in a movie like this is the potentially limiting factor. So far, with Zod, don’t see much of a limit.
