First Look: ‘Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ written by Sean Gerber May 13, 2013 Premiering earlier this evening during Once Upon a Time, here is the first trailer for Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. As we’ve known for months, Clark Gregg’s Agent Coulson has survived his bout with Loki in The Avengers and takes the lead in this series, which is clearly and appropriately set in the super-powered Marvel Cinematic Universe. I wonder what Warner Brothers will do to top this. T.J. TV is the only area DC’s managed to hold over Marvel. That may not last much longer. Arrow is starting to flirt with greatness, but it’s going to get quite a challenge from a major network show that boasts Clark Gregg as Coulson and the phrases “From Joss Whedon” and “The Saga that Began in Marvel’s The Avengers”. DC needs to go to the mattresses. And by “mattresses,” I mean “Use-MoS-to-start-building-a-cinematic-universe.” Adrian Save for ‘Arrow’, probably not much. They’re still waiting to see how Man of Steel does before getting their film universe in order. Brian Top This? Warner Brothers has been doing Live Action Tv for Decades. Jean So the only thing that held absolutely any meaning that happened in The Avengers they’re going back on so they can make what will probably be a so-so tv show…awesome. Other than Arrow, and maybe The Flash tv series when I was younger and Hulk repeats as a kid, which I’m sure wouldn’t hold up well if I watched it now, I’ve never enjoyed super-hero/comic-book tv shows. I’ll give it a shot, but this little tease doesn’t have my hopes very high. Stock Any explanation on how Coulson survived a 16 inch Asgardian blade thru the vital organs of the chest region? I mean, that wasn’t a fist-fight. Or is it going to be…he’s Coulson, dude. ? Seriously, can I even hope that its a prequel to the Avengers? I’m sure its going to be good. But he’s a robot, right?
