Superman ‘Man of Steel’ Sequel Rockets Toward 2015 written by Sean Gerber June 11, 2013 Most of the world has yet to see “Man of Steel,” but its sequel has been placed on the fast track by Warner Bros. According to Deadline, screenwriter David S. Goyer and director Zack Snyder are both back in their respective roles with Goyer also signed on for a Justice League film after the “Man of Steel” sequel. Star Henry Cavill will undoubtedly be back in the title role given his three-picture deal with the studio. This is obviously exciting news, as it is a rare showing of superhero confidence on the part of Warner Bros. The studio has good reason to be confident, as “Man of Steel” is great and will no doubt have a massive opening weekend. The latest tracking showed the film was on pace for $100 million, but it has a very good chance of going well over that mark. This feels a bit rushed to me, but hopefully it’s something they were prepared for and have a general idea of where they want to go and won’t let the quick turnaround affect the final product. Also, this franchise better not end with JL. Superman should get at least three solo films. Nick Nowhere in the article does it say anything about a 2015 release date, check your facts. Sean Gerber Would you consider anything more than a 2-year turnaround a “fast track?” 2015 has already been a rumored release date for a “Man of Steel” sequel ever since the latest JL script hit the skids. If WB comes out saying it’ll be out later than 2015, feel free to say, “I told you so.” T.J. Saw MOS last night. Trust me – even 2015 is too long to wait.
