Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Bear McCreary To Settle The Score With Marvel’s ‘Agents of SHIELD’ written by Justin Bolger July 15, 2013 Bear McCreary, composer of such science fiction/horror television as Battlestar Galactica and The Walking Dead, announced via Twitter that he will be scoring Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD. “Thrilled to announce my collaboration with Marvel, Joss Whedon, and his creative team. I am the composer for “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” The news comes on a day that also saw Bear McCreary announced as the music master behind the upcoming Starz pirate drama Black Sails. This assignment will take him to an advance screening of the show’s pilot at San Diego Comic-Con this Thursday night for a performance. As a fan of McCreary’s work since Battlestar Galactica, I’ve followed him as he’s scored such genre fare as Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Caprica, and the new SyFy Channel show Defiance. Trust me when I say, Marvel fans who’ve yet to experience his rich, multilayered musical genius are in for a revelation.
