BatmanSuperman World’s Finest Film Announcement Coming VERY Soon? written by Sean Gerber July 20, 2013 As I write this, the Warner Bros. Pictures panel at San Diego Comic Con is less than an hour away. It appears, however, that the panel’s big announcement has already been scooped by the Los Angeles Times. The outlet cites two unnamed sources while reporting Superman and Batman will be united for the first time ever in live-action for a 2015 film. No title for the film was reported, but the LA Times described the project as a follow up to “Man of Steel.” It won’t be long before we know if this is true, but I believe it is. I’ve heard similar rumblings for the last couple weeks. Those rumors sounded more like Batman would appear in “Man of Steel 2,” but this pre-panel report does not feel too far out of alignment. Check back with us in an hour or so and we’ll know for sure! BALE! BALE! BALE! BALE! Sean Gerber Since there’s not going to be a solo Batman film ahead of WF or even JL according to these reports, it would certainly make business sense. I have to see it to believe it, though, since I believe Bale when he says he’s done. Bob Marshall Please let this be true, Rob Kazinsky for Batman Glenn Doren Just bring Bale back. A talented writer and storyteller can come up with a compelling reason for Bale’s Batman to return. You KNOW you have two great leading men with Cavill and Bale–focus on a quality script, and it’s a no-brainer. Batman SHOULD be older and more experienced than Cavill’s Superman–it makes sense. Plus, it creates an interesting new journey for Bale’s Batman–dealing with Superman and the “alien/otherworld” baggage that comes with hit. If Bale simply does not want to return, that’s the man’s right. Otherwise, give him the damn contract with the proper $$$ and stop screwing around. Pingback: Zack Snyder Confirms ‘Man of Steel’ Sequel Featuring Batman! | Modern Myth Media() JRocka Bale may be done. In his head, today he is done. But the press release says that Batman has not been cast yet. WB could be trying to get Bale on board. That would make financial sense. I lean toward recasting though.
