The Flash Revealed In A FLASH written by Sean Gerber February 28, 2014 Warner Bros. Television and The CW have released the first official image of Grant Gustin in his costumed glory as THE FLASH. Gustin, the title character in the upcoming CW series, is currently filming the show’s pilot episode. The series will also star Tom Cavanaugh, Jesse L. Martin, and Candice Patton. The costume, while faithful to the comic, is also consistent with the aesthetic established in ARROW. Gustin’s Barry Allen was introduced on that series earlier this season and both shows could be crossing over with one another as soon as next year. With cameras rolling on the pilot right now, it should not be too long before we see the rest of the Scarlet Speedster. January 27, 2015 Adrian Edmondson Looks good , just need to see the rest of the costume T.J. I like it. Flash has got a tough costume to pull right out of the comics and onto the screen, but so far this is a good start. etourist I like what they did with the lightening bolt. Actually has a feeling of being functional and not just decoration. Marvel’s yet to really resolve how to handle Capt. America’s Wings as effectively. They’ve pretty much disappeared off his costume. Robert Reineke I’d like the red a little brighter, but overall it looks good and that hint of a smile is perfect for the character. Get the character right, which it looks like they’re well on their way to doing, and the minor aesthetic nitpicks won’t matter. T.J. For what it’s worth, I really liked Grant Gustin as Barry on “Arrow.” He’s got enough humor and cheerfulness about him to be good as the Flash.
