December 31, 2014 Adrian Edmondson Question , would the ” too many people ” in this movie therefore it will end up like Spiderman 3 rule , apply here ? In all seriousness , I enjoy the insights you guys have , just have to wait for the ride home to listen . Adrian The great thing about the Star Wars films is that it’s a saga and the stories span more than a single film. Big/small roles in VII could expand/decrease in VIII or IX. texvor And now we have the solo films as well. I actually want to see a solo film with Hayden Christensen as Anakin, because maybe that under a different script and director we may actually see a better performance with him. I dunno if the Clone Wars ever covered it but Anakin freeing the slaves of Tatooine hasn’t been covered to my knowledge and that was a dream/vision that young anakin had in episode 1. Robert Reineke I wonder how big Christie’s part is going to be as she would seem to be busy with Game of Thrones. (Don’t spoil it for me if she’s not going to be busy.) Michael Lalaian Pfft, you had to look up an Aurabesh translator, Justin? Poser. Just kidding! Seriously, I could listen to John and Justin talk about Star Wars all day. Sometimes a guy can forget that they aren’t the only person on the planet who knows what an Ithorian is. I figure this is a possibility anyway, but how about commentaries/roundtables for all six Star Wars films in the build up to Episode Seven? Dennis Ramirez I second that! This podcast was so much fun. I’d love to get more Star Wars commentaries staring John, Justin, and Paul. Their passion for the material is catching. It would be great if MMM sponsored a new series of podcasts devoted solely to Star Wars. Kind of like it does with the Walking Dead via Dead Talks. The shows could cover the films, the books, the TV series, everything! Love the work you guys do. Sean, thanks for running such a great site. Hey berto As for why this late casting, I think it’s pretty similar to the picture of bat fleck in the suit. They control it by releasing it before something leaks out or before someone figures it out. That’s all. This was probably in the works for awhile, and maybe even already locked up some time ago.. but they didn’t need to announce it until they reported to set. That’s my theory anyway. Great podcast though.. love all the fun the ramping up of this production has been. Hey berto OH.. and best joke I’ve heard. JJ released a statement that the pictures of what appears to be the Millennium Falcon are in fact a new ship called the John Harrison. Ba-da spssh!! james beihl Just caught Battlestar on netflix. I have to say as good as Game of Thrones is, it has nothing on Battlestar. Totally wish I had not missed that train. sucks because when it was on the air I wrote it off as cheesy but I just caught and its the best series I have ever seen on tv. james beihl I think its important to remember that Disney has little to do with this film. they are just the parent company. Its Lucasfilm that is calling the shots. Like when I watch MSNBC Im not watching General Electric news. Im watching MSNBC owned by General Electric. ( Incidentally I don’t watch any cable or tv news its all pro-Wall St. propaganda but just using this an example.) Disney might bring the hammer down on overarching decisions but mostly its up to Lucasfilm and I think the actual approach will change little when you stack their approach against that took with the OT. texvor Yeah but i don’t just wanna see Star Wars or Indy from LucasFilm. There is one movie that i think can evolve into something like a series or a new trilogy and that is Willow. Always liked that movie and Warwick was so captivating in it.
