Fantastic Four Trailerpalooza 2015: New FANTASTIC FOUR Trailer written by Robert Reineke April 20, 2015 I don’t know why everyone decided to release a big new trailer this weekend, but we’re going to try to cover all of them, including the latest FANTASTIC FOUR preview above. We get our first real look at The Thing in motion, a glimpse of Doctor Doom, and quite a bit more humor than the first trailer. And, clearly there’s a lot of focus on Miles Teller as Reed Richards. Coming off WHIPLASH, that’s a smart choice and he’s probably the big ace in the hole if he turns in a charismatic star turn. He’s certainly capable of it. So, thoughts on this trailer? Not overly excited but I’m sure it will be good . Not overly excited about the DD look though . Just scar his face up and have him wear a iron mask but I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt if the movie explains it well . LoganGarrett I’m cautiously optimistic….but why cant they just make Dr. Doom be Dr. Doom? Sheesh! Mr.Sixes Looking good, doom looks right and the cast looks correct. Sean Gerber I’m also not a fan of Dr. Doom’s look, but it could always grow on me. Overall, I enjoyed this trailer and it’s the first time I’ve felt genuine excitement over seeing the film, which is a huge plus. Robert Reineke If this represents the actual tone of the film, serious but not dour, I think that’s perfectly acceptable. Joshua Nathan Strong Very excited for this movie. I love the look and design of the film, and I am very excited to see how the body horror plays out in the story and on the screen. I am a big believer in Josh Trank as a filmmaker and I can’t wait to see what he does with the property. PS. I am still holding out that Disney comes in and buys the rights back to the FF and makes this a part of the MCU. stock So, once again it seems that Doom is part of the team that gets bombarded with Cosmic Rays. This may be a more recent comic book interpretation, but wasn’t it already done in the FF films deemed, “not so good?” And I like Jamie Bell, on Turn, but its hard too see him as “the muscle.” At least before he becomes the Thing. That does not question his toughness, just for his actual size, “the muscle,” seems a stretch.
