Modern Myth Media MMM Podcast #257: Sequelitis written by Sean Gerber July 14, 2016 It’s the biggest box office buzzword of the summer. “Sequelitis” has coming roaring back to almost make people forget about superhero fatigue for five minutes. Host Sean Gerber discusses the lack of demand for follow-up films with Katie Sullivan and Robert Reineke to determine whether or not audiences really have an aversion to sequels. As far as ID2 is concerned , it’s should have had a sequel a few years after it came out and with out Will Smith’s charm , this was bound to fail . Add the last Xmen to the list of sequels that failed to stand on its own or add anything new to the genre also , it was pretty much the same movie as before just a different decade .
