Fist off I love this site. But judging from the early podcast’s that I’m listening to for the first time the MMM crew is much more critical of Marvel properties than WB/DC properties. Hearing the crew, that I enjoy listening to, squirm around the issue of Green Lanterns quality was off putting.
I don’t think there was any “squirming,” as we acknowledged the widely held perception of the film while pointing out why some of us didn’t necessarily share that perception. In later episodes, we refer to the film as a failure since it was, regardless of how we each personally feel about the movie.
Also, I think we’ve been VERY critical of WB/DC over the history of the show.
Then you must not have heard nearly every show in recent memory where we are constantly giving Marvel praise and DC/WB grief.
Well then you MUST realize its an opinion. I’m pointing out an observation I had. And yes I have heard every recent show and the majority of your catalog (I live in Japan and walk/train to work) and I just observed a distinct change in tone before and after Avengers regarding DC/Marvel. Even your header has a Marvel vs DC theme. Understand I don’t have feelings of it one way or another at this time, just an observation. On another note I love your podcasts and applaud your group on your initiative and passion. Also since its New Years Day I’ll add my best of 2012, Dark Knight Rises. I’m with you Sean that is my definitive trilogy, and I’m a Marvel guy.
the best sci fi superheroes podcast in the world
the knowledge and great debate of this podcast is as good as it gets. they should change the podcast title to “sci fi film and tv podcast” or “superheroes podcast” because no one searching for these sort of podcasts on the internet or itunes will unfortunately never find this unrivalled podcast
After re listening to the Green Lantern and First Class podcasts , the misses and I decided to give them another try and I’m glad we did . GL could have been more and though I feel Ryan Reynolds would make a better Flash , he did the best he could with what he had to work with . Still wish FC had the actual first class but hoping the DOFP rectifies the gaps . Thanks again for the great job gang and looking forward to the Superman Returns podcast
